Those with expired or unused prescriptions are encouraged to participate in a biannual drug drop off this weekend.
The Pella Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be taking in medications and pills from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday in their main lobbies. Pella Lt. Paul Haase says it’s a key program that all residents who need to clean out their medicine cabinets are encouraged to use.
“It gives community members an opportunity to get rid of those unused or outdated drugs, and it gets rid of them in a safe manner,” Haase says.
The drug take-back program is free of charge.
