The 2017 Iowa Legislative Session was completed this past weekend, and Republicans made significant progress towards their legislative agenda.

State Senator Ken Rozenboom was pleased with the legislative direction of both chambers over the last four months, saying the November election was a referendum for GOP priorities.

“We went into the session excited to be able to present and work on our agenda that the Iowa voters voted on November 8th, and I think we accomplished a lot.”

However, one key area Rozenboom wishes more progress was made was on additional water quality funding and programs. He says key legislation was unable to make it through the house due to varying priorities and targets.

Rozenboom believes water quality will be a top priority in both the Iowa Senate and House next year.
