Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is asking the public for help.

They are trying to raise money to build two more houses in Marion County. One house will be built in Knoxville with the other built in Pella. The nonprofit organization is trying to raise $130,000 to help build both the homes. The organization is asking 130 citizens to donate $1,000 which would fund the $130,000 needed. Joel Verhoef, Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator for Habitat of Humanity of Marion County tells KNIA/KRLS News, your dollar helps pay for it, but your time, muscle and sweat help build it. Verhoef adds, Habitat is not just asking for your money, they are asking for your heart. These things don’t happen unless you care for your neighbor.
