Three area schools will have their boys and girls track and field teams head to Eddyville this afternoon to start their postseason journey. Pella Christian, PCM, and Pleasantville all compete amongst a field of 12 separate teams.

On the boys side, Pella Christian is looking towards Grant Dunsbergen in the long distance runs, where he has the third fastest time in both the 1600 and 3200, Pleasantville is leaning on Hunter Tyree in the 400m, while PCM’s Cole Dustin has the top time at the qualifying site in the 110 hurdles.

For the girls, PCM’s Jayci Vos currently has the fastest time in all of class 2A in the 400 hurdles, Maddie Samson has the top shot put throw, while the Mustangs 4×100 and 400 relay teams also have the fastest time at the site. Pella Christian’s Elizabeth Van Manen has the top distance by a large margin in the discus, Mary Kate Bandstra leads the 200m, and the 4×200 relay team is also currently the fastest.
