Central College’s two year run as men’s outdoor track and field champions came to an end this weekend, as the Dutch finished runner-up to Wartburg. The Central women took sixth.

The Wartburg men finished with 160 points, while Central scored 129.5.

Conference champions for the Dutch men were Ryan Cruse in the javelin, Mark Fairley in the 1,500 meter run and 3,000 meter steeplechase, and Logan Mulford in the high jump.

Central’s women scored 46 points, while Wartburg completed the women’s / men’s sweep by winning its 18th consecutive league crown.
