Pella rallied to beat Lynnville-Sully 8-4 last night to earn their first softball win of the summer.

The rally included a grand slam from freshman Ally Almond, who also got the win in the circle in relief. Madison Parks went the first five innings, allowing two earned runs. Almond threw two innings of scoreless relief with a pair of strikeouts.

Parks was two-for-four with a stolen base and two runs. Destiny Brown went three-for-four with a run and an RBI, and Almond was a perfect four-for-four with three runs and the four RBI from the big fly.

The Lady Dutch are 1-1 on the young season.
