Habitat for Humanity dedicated their 50th home built in Marion County on Saturday.

The Kennedy family received their key to their new home at a dedication ceremony that took place at 1103 East Robison in Knoxville. The ceremony featured speeches from Congressman Dave Loebsack, Habitat for Humanity representatives as well as Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch.

Following the speeches Director for Habitat for Humanity of Marion County Robin Pfalzgraf presented the Mike and Jen Kennedy with the key to their new home. Jen Kennedy tells KNIA/KRLS News it’s the greatest feeling in the world and she is glad the wait is finally over for her family. Mike Kennedy says the best thing about their new home is the space for their children. Mike says the children being able to have their own rooms is a major plus especially since their oldest son has ADHD and needs his own space.

Following the ceremony tours of the Kennedy’s new home were given as well as lunch provided by the Habitat for Humanity of Marion County.
