The Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation held their annual awards ceremony Tuesday evening.

The ceremony is a chance for the foundation to hand out their annual grants awarded to local small non profit organizations looking to make Knoxville a better place through small projects. The program began with a brief presentations about each recipient and the good work they’re doing to make Knoxville an even better place to live, work, and enjoy.

Vice President for the Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation Dylan Morse tells KNIA/KRLS News the Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation is one of the oldest non profit organizations in Knoxville. Morse says the foundation’s sole purpose is to raise money through gifts, local donations, and fundraising to raise the profile of Knoxville and build on the positive developments that have happened over the years. Morse adds the foundation also wants to see new programs and projects through to completion to make Knoxville even better.
