Two strokes ahead of Albia, the PCM Boys Golf squad has won their class 2A sectional and is advancing to the districts next Friday with a team score of 323, four under second place Albia.

Pella Christian’s Graham Howerzyl was meet medalist and will advance as an individual to the district meet, blowing away the competition with a 73 and winning by four strokes. Kenden Veenstra’s 82 was also good enough to give him an entry into the district meet with teammate Howerzyl.

Pleasantville placed sixth overall with a 386. The Mustangs strength in the victory came from their depth, as they had five golfers place in the top nine, with their four scoring golfers placing third through seventh at the meet. Jackson Thomas paced the Mustangs with an 80, with Elijah Sperfslage, Dayton Boell, and Noah Lanphier each carding an 81. Pleasantville was led by Caleb Adreon who finished in 14th with an 85. The district meet will be next Friday at Lake Panorama National Golf Course hosted by Panorama.
