In its first year in the Little Hawkeye Conference, the Indianola boys won the Little Hawkeye Conference Track & Field Championships, also held last night in Grinnell. Pella finished third and Pella Christian took eighth.

Indianola tallied 186 points, while runner-up Dallas Center-Grimes scored 163. Seeing its streak of five straight conference titles come to an end, Pella finished with 92 points and Pella Christian scored 33.

Tyson Wassenaar of Pella is the LHC champ in the discus, while teammate Nick Berhnhagen took second in the 3,200 and Avery Van Zee was second in the 400 meter hurdles.

For the Eagles, Grant Dunsbergen was runner-up in the 1,500 meters.
