Making their first ever appearance at the girls team state tennis tournament, Pella High fell yesterday afternoon to Waterloo Columbus, 5-1 in the quarterfinals.

The Lady Dutch finish the team portion of their season with an 11-2 record.

Now the focus will turn to the individual state tournament, where Brooke Jorgensen and Lily Roozeboom have qualified in singles and the team of Bronwyn Metcalf and Cecily Johnson have qualified in doubles.

That tournament will take place next Thursday and Friday in Iowa City.
