The third time is the charm for the Pella High girls tennis team.

After winning the regular season title the last two year and then taking second at the conference meet, the Lady Dutch followed up this spring’s dual meet championship with a runaway victory at conference.

Pella scored 50 points, followed by Newton’s 34 and Pella Christian’s 25.

Pella’s Brooke Jorgensen took first place in flight one singles, Lily Roozeboom won flight two singles and Bronwyn Metcalf and Cecily Johnson teamed to win flight one doubles. Natalie Meyer and Patience Dykstra rounded out Pella’s stellar day with a runner-up showing flight two doubles.

Pella Christian’s Andrea Carballo had the Eagles’ best finish – third place in flight one singles.

The Little Hawkeye Conference boys tennis meet was also scheduled for yesterday, but was postponed to today due to poor weather conditions.
