Former Greenville University standout and international professional player Obinna Agomo will join Central College men’s basketball coach Craig Douma on the bench as an assistant coach this season.

Agomo will join the Dutch staff after spending the last two seasons coaching with the Lisle High School boys program. He also has experience working with the Chicago Bulls Youth Academy in Lisle.
A team captain for Division III Greenville in 2011, Agomo was an all-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second team selection. He was also an all-SLIAC defensive team pick in 2010 and 2011.

A four-year international career sent Agomo around the world playing in 10 different countries on five different continents. Highlights of his international career include playing for the Nigerian national team in 2013, being drafted 24th overall by the London Lightning of the National Basketball League of Canada in 2012 and earning all-star recognition in Kosovo.

He’ll start his time at Central on August 7.
