Pella Christian beat Colfax-Mingo last night in softball 8-5.

The Eagles swapped leads with the Tigerhawks in the first, third, fourth, and fifth innings before pulling away in the sixth.

Lizzy Van Manen hit her first home run of the season and Chloe Dembski drove in two insurance runs on a single in the bottom of the 6th. Emma Schnell earned the win in relief, giving up an earned run and striking out seven in 3 2/3 innings.

The Eagles are now 8-1 on the season. Tonight, both the Pella Christian softball and baseball teams head to Grinnell. Softball will play a JV / varsity doubleheader starting at 6:00, while baseball plays a pair of varsity games starting at 5:30.
