Indianola scored five runs in the first inning en route to an 15-2 win over Pella last night in softball in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS, while the Indian baseball team led from start to finish in a 11-1 win over Pella.

After Indianola’s five run first, Pella clawed closer with a two-out two-run double by Kinzi Van Wyk in the third only to see the Indians pull away, dropping the Lady Dutch to 5-19 overall and 2-11 in conference action.

Pella answered Indianola’s first inning baseball tally with a Landon Vander Leest RBI single in the second. But Indianola got three in the third and two in the fourth to break it open.

The Little Dutch fall to an even 10-10 on the season, and drop below .500 at 6-7 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.

Softball is off tonight, while the baseball team is at Centerville for a jayvee / varsity doubleheader.
