Both Knoxville summer teams will travel to Osceola tonight to play Clarke. Softball will be taking on the South Central Conference leader that has beaten its three conference opponents by a combined 44-11. Knoxville is trying to get back in the conference race after a loss to Albia on Friday. Meanwhile, the baseball Panthers will also take on Clarke. On paper, this looks like a complete mismatch as the Indians are 2-7 on the season, however are coming off two wins in the Martensdale-St. Mary’s Invitational over the weekend. Knoxville Coach Matt Miller tells KNIA/KRLS this is an important conference game. While it may not clinch a title, he says this will go a long way to deciding who will be a contender. You can hear the call of the baseball game tonight on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com at around 7:30.
