What started out as an upset bid, turned into a frustrating loss for the Knoxville Softball Squad as the Panthers fell to Clarke 9-5. Knoxville held the lead after three innings 3-2, but errors turned the game toward Clarke. Jada Agan took the loss going 4 1/3 innings giving up six runs on seven hits, no walks and one strikeout. Reilly Finarty pitched the remaining inning and 2/3. Haili Swan led the Panther attack with two hits. Anna Sanderson, Shaye Nichols, Swan, and Finarty all got an R-B-I. Knoxville is now 6-7 on the season and 1-3 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers are in action on Wednesday at home against Chariton.
