The Knoxville Baseball Squad could only manage a split against Centerville in its double header last night. The Panthers showed their muscle in game one winning 10-4 as Ben Wallace got the win going five innings and allowing just three hits and striking out three. Cameron Liston wen 3/3 with an R-B-I. Game two was a classic but the Big Reds escaped with a 10-9 win in nine innings. Both teams had chances to win in extra innings. Knoxville pounded out 20 hits. Caleb Streigle took the loss going four innings giving up four runs on six hits. Trent Davis was 5/6 on the night and Liston went 3/5 to go a combined 6/8 in the two games. Knoxville had a chance to walk it off but flew out with runners on second and third in the ninth. Knoxville is now 16-and-four on the season and 11-1 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers travel to Oskaloosa tonight.
