With a doubleheader sweep of Clarke, the Knoxville Panther baseball team has claimed at least a share of the South Central Conference title. The Panthers took down the Indians 15-5 in five innings in game one, while game two was heard live on AM 1320 and FM 95.3 KNIA and ended in an 8-1 Knoxville win.

In game two, Blake McClung got the start, but head coach Matt Miller told KNIA/KRLS Sports that with the pitch counts being tracked and a busy week ahead he wanted to switch pitchers often and McClung gave way to Rylan Cox after 2 ⅔ innings. Cox himself would eventually make way to Carter Bailey on the mound after 3 ⅓. Offensively, Trent Davis was 3-4 with a pair of stolen bases, and Rylan Cox was 3-4 with a pair of runs scored. Knoxville is now 20-5 on the season, and step out of the conference tonight to go against Grinnell.
