Monday evening the Knoxville City Council heard a presentation from City Manager Aaron Adams about long term planning for Knoxville’s future.

During the presentation Adams informed the council about a potential partnership with the Knoxville Community School District for tennis courts to be built which would replace the current skate park in front of the Knoxville High School. Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News the school district would pay for construction of the new tennis courts and that the city would construct improvements to the south side of Youngs Park that would include the addition of a new skate park. Adams adds, the school district has been told they will no longer be allowed to host home tennis meets until the court issue has been addressed.
