Nodaway Valley got the lead early and held on to defeat the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad 4-1 last night. The Wolverines scored in the first and fifth innings to gain a two/nothing lead. After the Saints pushed across a run in the sixth, Nodaway Valley extended the lead to the eventual final score of 4-1 in the sixth inning. The Saints were held to just two hits and Emilie Krpan took the loss striking out three. The Saints host Moulton-Udell tonight.
