The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad defeated Mormon Trail last night eight-to-one thanks to a strong start. The Saints took the lead on an error and scored two runs the first inning. The Saints scored four runs in the fifth inning when they scored on an error, a triple by Angel Beaty, and a groundout by Kynser Reed. Emilie Krpan earned the win going the distance allowing one run on just four hits, nine strikeouts and two walks. The Saints are now 16-11 on the season. The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad also won last night 11-5 over Mormon Trail. Paul Karpan went 2/4 with two R-B-I and his second home run of the season. Karpan also got the win on the mound going the distance allowing six hits and eight strikeouts.
