Pella Christian knocked off Newton 3-1 last night to earn at least a share of the Little Hawkeye Conference softball championship.

The Eagles are 25-5 overall and are in the clubhouse at 17-4 in LHC play. Indianola is 14-4, and had last night’s game against Oskaloosa rained out. The Indians will play the Indians next week, as well as two games against Newton and need to win out to tie Pella Christian at the top of the standings.

Pella Christian’s baseball game at Newton was rained out, and rescheduled for next Wednesday, July 5th.

Both Eagles’ squads will take tonight off before returning to the diamond tomorrow.
