Pella Christian knocked off Norwalk in softball last night, 7-4, while the Warriors got the better of the Eagle baseball team, 5-0.

In softball, Pella Christian fell behind 1-0 in the top of the second, but scored four runs in the bottom half of the inning on a bases loaded double by Ivy Terpstra and a Norwalk error.

The Warriors responded with three runs in the top of the third to tie the game, and Pella Christian struck for the game winning runs in the fifth on a two-run double by Lizzy Van Manen and an RBI single by Kirsten Vander Hart.

Emma Schnell went the distance in the circle, allowing three runs on six hits. She struck out eight.

The Eagles are now 16-3 and in first place in the Little Hawkeye Conference at 9-2.

In baseball, Norwalk scored once in the fourth, three more in the sixth and one in the seventh. Pella Christian left seven runners on base.

The Eagles are now 10-12 overall and 5-8 in the LHC. Both the Pella Christian baseball and softball teams are off today and will play at Indianola tomorrow night.
