A crowd of over 200 gardeners gathered at the annual Pella Garden Club luncheon Thursday.

Event Organizer Jody Mansueto tells KNIA/KRLS News this year’s theme centered around local farmers and the food they provide.

A panel hosted by Dr. Bob Leonard included Jack Suiter of Landmark Farms in Sully, Richard Phillips, Director of Central College Food Service, and Organic Food Producers Jim & Louise Zaffiro.

Mansueto says the Pella Garden Club is dedicated to the beautification of Pella through flowers and plants.
