The school board approved the hire of Graig Eichenberger as the new head football coach for the upcoming season after the departure of Gabe Bakker for Clear Creek Amana.

Eichenberger attended North Iowa HS followed by the University of Northern Iowa and a transfer to Iowa State. Eichenberger was previously a teacher at Seymour High School, and joins the Pleasantville School District as a third grade teacher. Eichenberger takes over a Pleasantville team that has made the playoffs for three consecutive seasons, ending with a 8-2 record in 2016 and a first round playoff exit to Madrid.
