Pleasantville High School played host to the first ever “Strikeout for Cancer” games Tuesday evening.

The games featured pink uniforms worn by both the Junior Varsity and Varsity softball and baseball teams. All the proceeds from Tuesday’s games will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Pleasantville Senior Softball Player Hannah Hatch tells KNIA/KRLS News words can not describe what playing in the game meant. Head Coach Marcy Roff means so much to the team and does so much for the team, it would mean nothing more than to make her proud. Tuesday’s games included silent auctions, an ice cream vender donating money earned throughout the night as well as a balloon release for anyone who wanted to remember a loved one lost to cancer. Pledges were also made for the number of runs scored, runs batted in, and home runs.
