More than 1300 MidAmerican Energy Customers are without power. Numerous trees and power lines are down. Knoxville Fire Chief Jim Mitchell tells KNIA/KRLS news that there is considerable traffic on Highway 5/92 and north on Highway 14; he says that many are looking for storm damage. He advises them to turn around and go home.
Damage has already been spotted in the western half of the county, from the Iowa State Patrol near Pleasantville:
