A seven run fifth inning allowed the P-C-M Softball Squad to send everyone home early with an 11-1 win over Knoxville last night in a game heard on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA. The game ended on a Jayci Vos three run inside the park home run to right field. Kayla Jennings and the rest of the team did the defensive park allowing Knoxville just one hit over the five innings. Mustangs Coach Scott Bridges told KNIA/KRLS the defense was the key to getting runs on the board due to not extending innings. On the other side, Knoxville Interim Coach Hayley Freestone told KNIA/KRLS Sports while many of the girls were drawing walks, they just did not bring them around. Jennings got the win going the entire five innings walking two and striking out four. Rielly Finarty took the loss in the circle. Knoxville is now 11-17 on the season while P-C-M improves to 15-11.
