A wide range of activities will be held this weekend at Lake Red Rock.

Vern Cochran with Missouri River Energy Services will present an overview of the Hydroelectric Project at 8 p.m. at the North Overlook Picnic area this evening. Following the presentation, Dr. Lee Wymore, a stargazer and biology teacher at Indian Hills, will host stargazing 101 at 9 p.m. in Whitebreast Campground. An introduction to archery class is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday for those 11 and older at the Red Rock Archery Range. A tree I.D. hike will begin at the same time as well at Whitebreast Campground. Prehistory of the Lower Des Moines River will be held at 1 p.m. in the Visitor Center, and Let’s Go Paddling begins at 2 at Roberts Creek.

All activities are free of charge and preregistration is not required.
