For the second time in as many weeks, Knoxville and Pella will meet on the baseball field. Tonight, however has a bit more on the line than just a regular season game the two teams played back on July third. Both Panthers and Little Dutch will meet in the first round of the class three-A District tonight in Oskaloosa. Knoxville finished up the season 27-7 and won the South Central Conference title for the third straight season. While that was a goal accomplished, Coach Matt Miller tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he wants his players to take a simple and aggressive approach. As Pella looks to turn the tide on the Panters after last week’s blowout, they will send ace Tyler Hillman to the mound. The senior all-stater says that they flushed all of the bad things that happened in that game last Monday, and have re-focused over the last ten days leading into tonight’s playoff opener.
