One of the best nights of racing in 2017 at the Knoxville Raceway saw a driver win for the first time in a long time, a charge to the front, and a driver start to peak into Nationals form. If it could have gone wrong for Matthew Stelzer it probably did for the past four years. Mechanical, getting caught in crashes, and other issues ended last night as he pulled into victory lane in the 305 race after outrunning Kelby Watt for the win. In the 360s, Sawyer Phillips took his second career win going from the ninth starting position, and Brian Brown took sole possession of seventh place on the all-time. Brown Told KNIA/KRLS Sports, the thought of winning over 30 races at Knoxville still gives him pause. Next week expect a very large 360 car count as the Lucas Oil A-S-C-S National Tour rolls into town for their final tune up before the 360 Nationals.
