The Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency or HIRTA will be offering free rides to residents in Marion County in need of transportation to the Farm Stand at Marion County Public Health in Knoxville.

Project Director or Marion County Public Health Larissa Van Donselaar, tells KNIA/KRLS News all residents need to do is call the HIRTA 24 hours in advance and reserve a ride. HIRTA will come right to the resident’s front door to pick them up. Van Donselaar says the Farm Stand is open every Wednesday through September from 10 a.m. until noon and is a great and easy way to not only shop, but to redeem WIC and Senior Farmer’s market vouchers.
