With the regular season now over for the Knoxville Baseball Squad, the preparation for the district opener Friday night against Pella continues. The Panthers will try to hit an even balance with resting players and giving them the reps they need to stay sharp. With the hot weather forecast for the remainder of the week, Coach Matt Miller tells KNIA/KRLS that will be the big challenge for the coaching staff. Miller says a lot of base running will be covered and situational hitting and pitching will be centered in on during the run up to the district game on Friday.
