Today we continue the countdown of the Top 10 sports stories of the 2016-2017 school year with number 9 for PCM High School.

A year that saw the baseball program grow and garner an 18-10 record under new head coach Jeff Lindsay, perhaps no moment was bigger than when the Mustangs traveled to compete in a tournament at West Marshall. PCM dispatched Grundy Center in game one in easy fashion 7-1 with freshman Dane Owens picking up the win on the mound, putting them in a matchup with West Marshall for the tournament championship. The Trojans were 16-3 coming into the game and playing on their home turf, but three runs in the final inning including a seventh inning run turned the tide and gave PCM a 3-2 win.
