Today we continue the countdown of the Top 10 sports stories of the 2016-2017 school year at Pella Christian with number eight.

On September 17th, Pella Christian went 5-0 at the North Mahaska tournament, and in the process, earned Coach John Evenhouse his 500th Iowa high school victory.

The Eagles beat Lynnville-Sully, WACO, H-L-V, North Mahaska and Grinnell that day, and all matches were 2-0 scores.

Pella Christian went 25-13 on the season and finished second place in the Little Hawkeye Conference at 6-2. They made it to the class 2-A regional finals where the season came to an end against St. Albert Council Bluffs.
