As we look back at the biggest moments for the Eagles this past academic year, we go back to when Pella Christian was in the midst of their undefeated football regular season.

After David Kacmarynski had to sit out following a questionable targeting call against I-35, the Eagles were forced to switch to plan B–the state’s eventual all-time receiving leader, to lead their team into Mount Ayr.

Levi Jungling said before the game, he always joked of playing quarterback, but wasn’t sure it would happen.

“I never really wanted to be quarterback, I always wanted to be a wide receiver, but it’s been kind of a joke of ‘hey, let’s run the wildcat and do this,'” Jungling said.

He filled in for Pella Christian when they needed him most, and the results spoke for themselves.

Jungling, behind the PC offensive line, led the Eagles to a 62-14 rout with three passing touchdowns and two rushing scores. Pella Christian finished the 2016 season at 10-1.
