A team captain in 2015 and 2016, Kelsey Roxworthy has joined the Central College women’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach.

Roxworthy, who graduated from Central in May, remains with the program she earned four varsity letters with since arriving as a freshman in 2013.

The St. Charles, Illinois native played in 73 games for the Dutch in her career, the sixth-most in program history. She earned second team all-Iowa Conference honors as a defender in 2016 and was an honorable mention in 2015.

A recipient of the team’s Most Inspirational Player Award in 2015, she was also the Most Improved Player in 2014.

Roxworthy has coaching experience with the Pella High School program, assisting the Lady Dutch girls’ team in 2016. She has also worked the Pella Soccer Club girls’ high school team since 2015.

Roxworthy fills the vacancy left by the departure of Kirsty Fraser, who was unable to fulfill the position after accepting it earlier this summer.
