A back and forth game came down to a wild pitch, and with that, Colfax-Mingo ended Twin Cedars baseball season 8-7 last night in eight innings in a class 1A District semi-final. Trace Embray got things going early with a three-run homer in the first inning but Colfax-Mingo came right back in the second with four runs and expanded on that lead to 6-3 due to Twin Cedars errors. Down 6-3 in the sixth, Embray looked to be the hero when he blasted a grand slam to put the Sabers up 7-6 going into the seventh inning. But the Tiger Hawks tied it in the seventh and walked it off on a wild pitch in the eighth. Embray had seven R-B-Is in the losing cause. Twin Cedars finishes the season at 17-11.
