Two Rivers Cooperative has been recognized for their partnership with the Marion County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).

Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson tells KNIA/KRLS News that Two Rivers received an award for their contributions to the local LEPC and for the equipment they donated to Pella Rural Fire and the Monroe Fire Department that was used in a grain bin rescue performed near Otley on March 31st.

“They’re a model partner of what an ideal LEPC partnership should be between the public and the private aspects of society,” Anderson says. “We work together to make sure our communities are safe for all of our residents.”

Two Rivers Cooperative was recognized this past weekend at the 2017 LEPC Emergency Planning and Response Conference in Overland Park, Kansas.
