Facing off against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in the first round of district play last night, the Pleasantville Trojans gave up three unearned runs in the first inning and would not recover in a 3-1 loss to the Rockets that ended their season.

Kyle Amendt struck out 10 Rocket batters and gave up only six hits on the night in his performance on the mound, as he did his best to keep the Trojans in the ball game, including hitting a double at the dish. Cael Lester picked up the Trojans only other two hits on the night. The loss brings the Trojans overall record on the season to 18-14, and they will graduate just one senior from the squad, Brandon Gibson.
