Setting a new program standard, three Central College women’s golfers were named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association’s All-American Scholars team.

Juniors Valorie Taylor and Molly Timmerman were joined by freshman Emily Opsal as all three earned the recognition for the first time. Central’s previous high for honorees in a season was two, set in 2014.

To be eligible for selection, honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and compete in a minimum of 12 varsity rounds. It’s the fifth time in six years that the Dutch have had at least one player on the academic squad.
