With a new season approaching, Pella Christian volleyball coach John Evenhouse has a nice security blanket in the form of a senior all-stater.

“We’re easily led by Bekah Horstman”, Evenhouse said. “She was third team all-state and was a unanimous all-conference pick as a junior outside hitter last year. She is continuing in that vein and she is going to be a really nice ballplayer. At Central camp, coaches were asking us ‘who is that girl?’ after our game. She’s going to do a great job for us.”

Horstman led the Eagles to a second place finish in the Little Hawkeye Conference last year and a trip to the regional finals. They’ll get the 2017 season started in a week and a half at the Ames Invitational.
