As the Central College football team gets set to embark on another season this Saturday, the players are united on two common goals.

Joining us Monday night live on the Central College Radio Coaches Corner, senior quarterback Nate Boland said that one of the goals is on the field and one of them is off it.

“We agree upon two goals, which are to earn your degree and win the conference. We list them both as number one because they’re both our top priorities. Not only that, but going 1-0 every day is both an individual goal and a team goal. When we step out on the field at practice and on the game field, we want to go out there with a purpose. We want to make sure we’re doing everything we need to do in order to be successful, and that’s the motto of 1-0 every single day.”

Boland and the Dutch will get a chance to start the season 1-0 when they face high powered Whitworth of Washington this Saturday at Ron & Joyce Schipper Stadium in Pella.
