The Knoxville Volleyball Squad got the season off on Saturday with a trip to the Bondurant-Farrar Invitational. The Panthers ended the day 1-5, beating Perry in two sets. The Panthers lost to Dubuque Hempstead, Williamsburg, Pella, Des Moines Roosevelt, and Carroll. On the day Cassidy Pearson had 51 digs, Kayla Moats nailed down 20 kills and was 21/23 serving with five aces, and Katie Keitges had 15 kills, 38 assists and was 41/45 serving with eight aces. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, she can already see a marked improvement in the girls from one year to the next. The Panthers get back to action on Tuesday with a trip to defending South Central Conference Champion Centerville.
