Kyle Larson led all 25 laps to capture night one of the 57th Annual 5 Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals last night at the Knoxville Raceway. Larson started on the pole and seemed to have little trouble chewing up lapped traffic even with Donny Schatz bearing down on him. Larson scored enough points to likely lock himself into Saturday’s A-Main, but the question is will his NASCAR team owner Chip Ganassi let him compete knowing he has a big race on Sunday. Larson told KNIA/KRLS News he will have to see what the boss says. The rest of the field runs tonight and the top 16 in points after tonight’s action will be locked into Saturday’s A-Main. For KNIA/KRLS News, I’m Derek Cardwell.
