Judkins, Iowa Settle for Silver

Grant Judkins and the rest of his Iowa Hawkeyes teammates won a silver medal playing for Team USA in the World University Games.

Judkins is a 2016 graduate of Pella High School and starred on a pair of state tournament teams for the Little Dutch.

The Hawkeyes lost yesterday’s championship to Japan 10-0.

It’s the first Team USA squad to ever win a baseball medal at the games, as Iowa went 5-2 overall. Their only two losses were to the champions from Japan.

This year’s event was held in Taipei, Taiwan.

Pleasantville Volleyball Falls in Road Trip to East Union
