While it didn’t come as clean as the they would have liked, the Pella Christian Volleyball team opened the Little Hawkeye Conference with a sweep of Oskaloosa (25-23, 25-22, 25-15).

The Eagles had 47 kills to Oskaloosa’s 17, but late-set errors plagued the girls of Eagle Lane, with 23 total on the night.

Pella Christian was led by 20 kills from Bekah Horstman, and eight apiece from Morgan Fopma and Mary Kate Bandstra.

The Eagles improve to 2-3, and host No. 13 in 3A Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Thursday.
