Laura Clanton is no longer the director of Pella Community Ambulance.

Her resignation was agreed to this week and effective on August 10th, and announced in a joint release from Clanton and Pella Ambulance sent to KNIA/KRLS. She first submitted her resignation in July, and at the time planned to stay as acting director until a replacement could be found. Clanton has now decided to step down from the position and pursue outside opportunities. The Pella Community Ambulance board thanked Clanton for her service. She has served as director since January 2015.

While the search is underway for a new director, board members and employees are working together to ensure continuity of service. The board says ambulance services are fully-staffed and available to serve all area residents in their jurisdiction, including Pella, Lake Prairie Township, and surrounding communities.
