For the second year in a row, Pella High School has won the Des Moines Register’s all-sports trophy for medium sized schools.

The Little Dutch and Lady Dutch racked up 54.5 points to edge runner up Cedar Rapids Xavier, who scored 48.

Teams score points for top eight finishes at the state meet. Pella’s boys scored points in football, cross country, basketball and tennis, while the girls scored in volleyball, cross country, basketball, track and field and tennis.

West Des Moines Valley won the large school award, while Davenport Assumption took the trophy in the small school category.
